Louise A. LaMothe

A stand out among ADR professionals, Ms. LaMothe is recognized as one of California’s top 50 neutrals by the Los Angeles Daily Journal. Only 6 other women achieved this professional recognition from attorneys throughout the state.

Ms. LaMothe has mediated or arbitrated hundreds of commercial cases in a wide variety of areas—contracts, both domestic and international, securities, real estate, partnership, franchise, entertainment, intellectual property, professional negligence, health care, insurance, transportation, and more.

Ms. LaMothe also mediates and arbitrates employment disputes of many types—Title VII, age and disability discrimination, discrimination based on sexual orientation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and others.

Respected by her colleagues, Ms. LaMothe has served on numerous professional committees at the local, state and national level. She also appears frequently as a teaching arbitrator at the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, held annually in Vienna, Austria.

From her base in Santa Barbara, Ms. LaMothe travels frequently for matters throughout California and the Western United States.
